Delia Breen

The first show Delia acted in as a member of The TCT was The Season at Sarsaparilla for Three River Theatre and has since gone on to be in and a part of more than 8 TCT nominated and award-winning shows. She has been heavily involved in all aspects of the arts since infancy and now works with companies such as Stompin, Party in the Paddock, ROOKE, and Mudlark.

Delia’s professional CV spans performing, stage management, site management, production, Volunteer Coordinating for Party in the Paddock, and rehearsal directing. She also served on the boards of Three River Theatre and Stompin for several years.

The TCT is proud to be supporting a high-achieving student at one of Australia’s leading arts institutions- The Victorian College of the Arts (Bachelor of Fine Arts- Theatre). We know that Delia will take this pursuit of knowledge with her long after her studies end.

Sophia Teis

Sophia’s industry goals include building a professional portfolio, involving herself in theatrical/film productions, and writing plays for creative development. Her talent lies in the crafting of stories, and while her main desire is to act, she also has a strong interest in being behind the scenes, with a desire to develop stories based on Tasmania’s gothic landscape. She has a particular focus on encouraging and fostering more theatre in the North and on the North-West coast.

Sophia commenced the Diploma of Acting in 2023 at WAAPA and once she graduates, plans to return to Tasmania to involve herself in the theatre and film communities, with a focus on producing theater which can be toured around the state, which allows her to produce her writing, create scripts specific to Tasmania, and explore modern themes, historical context, and the unique landscape the state has to offer.

Griffin McLaughlin

With an aim to work consistently as an actor across a variety of mediums but with a particular focus on Australia’s independent and mainstage theatre sector, Griffin is particularly passionate about heightened text, physical theatre, new Australian work, and theatre in education.

Griffin wants to prioritise working consistently in Tasmania following graduation from WAAPA. He brings a deep love for Tasmania’s theatre community and gratitude for the opportunities and foundation it has given him. He is particularly excited to return to nipaluna/Hobart to work on Much Ado About Nothing for John X Presents at the end of this year. He is also keen to continue his strong working relationships with companies such as Bad Company Theatre, Big Job Productions, Archipelago Productions, and Big Monkey, and hopefully establish new ones too. We know the time Griffin has taken to further develop his acting, movement, and vocal technique at WAAPA will have made him a more dynamic, confident, and resilient performer, who can serve the incredible stories these companies share with Tasmanian audiences. Looking ahead, he also hopes to contribute to Tasmania’s theatre sector in a producing capacity to help others realise new scripted and devised works.
